Outlook: Set Up Email Client to Access Delegate Account

Once you have been added as a delegate to an additional email account like an orphan account, you can set up your email client to view that information.

 Instructions

Outlook Desktop Client:

  1. Click the File.

  2. Click Open, and select Shared Mailbox.

  3. Search for the shared email account (i.e. lit@usu.edu).

  4. You should now be able to see the shared account below your primary account.

Outlook on the Web:

  1. Login to http://owa.usu.edu as your email account.

  2. Right-click the Folders tab, and select Add shared folder.

  3. Search for the shared email account (i.e. lit@usu.edu).

  4. You should now be able to see the shared account below your primary account.

We do not recommend using the Mac Mail client to access delegate accounts for security reasons.
