Bitwarden Setup
A license to bitwarden has been purchased by the Library for full-time faculty and staff. You will need to follow the instructions below in order to finish setting up your bitwarden account.
Instructions
Following are the instructions to install bitwarden.
A bitwarden invitation will be sent to your USU email account. In the email, select Join Organization Now button.
2. A browser page will be open. Select Create Account.
3. Fill in your information and select Submit.
4. You will receive a “Welcome” email from bitwarden. Select the http://vault.bitwarden.com link and login to your new bitwarden account.
5. On the right side of the screen, select the Verify Email button.
6. An email will be sent. Open that email and select the Verify Email Address Now button in your new email. It will take up to 48 hours for the bitwarden setup to upgrade your account to the enterprise level. If you have not received your confirmation email upgrading your bitwarden account within that timeframe, please contact Garth in LIT.
7. Once your account has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email as shown here.
8. When you log in to your bitwarden account, you should now see the “Organizations” box on the right and not the “Go Premium” box.
Note: As you are setting up your password vault, recognize that any password information put in the “Organizations” area will stay with the university once you no longer work here. This would be a great place to put password details pertaining to USU purchased information.
