  • A link is usually provided in Chen’s requests spreadsheets where we can look at the book cover and use Google to translate the order page

  • It is also useful to further search the ISBN online, (if one is available) to see how other sites describe the item.

  • An OCLC number may be provided in the request spreadsheet, but the record may be done in Chinese-language of cataloging

  • However, we can Derive a bib record from an OCLC Chinese language version, changing it to match English-language RDA rules.

  • Or create a new bib record, if there is no Chinese language version record.

  1. Add the English title from the spreadsheet to the MARC record as a 246, dropping leading articles
