(question) Question

Why does Lucid Chart no longer have full functionality?

(tick) Answer

Lucid Chart was bought by another company. The original owners gave full licensing to Utah K-12 and Higher education. The new free licensing only allows for 3 charts. If you would like to continue to use Lucid Chart there is no break for education so the cost would be at $7.95 per month per person.

Some alternative solutions include:

  • Adobe InDesign - It is part of the Adobe CC package so there would be no cost. LinkedIn Learning has some videos on how to use this.

  • Visme - It sort of does charts.

  • SmartArt Graphics for Microsoft

  • Microsoft Visio - The cost for the standard version is $39. The Professional version is $75. (Pricing stated previously is of 10/15/20.)
