 DI Partition 

This partition stores unprocessed digital accessions, vendor created audio files that need to be renamed, physical exhibit images.  , and legacy IR and digital library files.

  • Note: Most access is limited to READ ONLY access (users may view and download only).  

  • Who typically needs access? Curators, Metadata catalogers, Student employees doing special projects, Digital Initiatives Faculty/Staff.  Stewardship team.

DP Partition 

This partition is useful for locating/downloading existing digital files when fulfilling digitization requests for items that were previously digitized. Files in the DP include both completed digitization work and born-digital files that are organized in a hierarchical folder structure by SCA collection numbers and/or Do Not Own (DNO) numbers. The DP also includes files that are waiting for upload to CONTENTdm or retroactive file renaming.  

  • Note: Most access is limited to READ ONLY access (users may view and download only).    

  • Who typically needs access? Curators, Metadata catalogers, Student employees doing special projects, Digital Initiatives Faculty/StaffStewardship team.  

NWBSN Partition 

This partition holds the files for the Northwest Band of Shoshone Nation (NWBSN) digital archive project. This is a special project , and access is limited to those closely involved with the project.  

SCA-Working-Files Partition 

This partition was once used by SCA but, after the introduction of Box, it has sat unused for many years. It still The folder “SCA’s Mess” contains files that SCA faculty/staff stored here before Box. It would be good for SCA faculty/staff to determine what needs to be kept or deleted so we can free up space on the drive. There are plans to repurpose this partition to serve The folder “Digital Processing Work Area” serves as a space for curators to process digital acquisitions.  

  • Note: If When you are looking for ready to process an acquisition of digital files of SCA collection material, go to the DP Partition and click on the folder labeled “SCA”. This is where the majority of SCA’s processed born-digital files and digitized files are located.  , follow the steps in “Digital Transfers: Full Procedures

  • Who typically needs access: Curators and anyone performing digital processing work in SCA

StudentTemp Partition 

This partition is was where active digitization work is was stored while it is was moving through the digitization workflow (image capture, quality control, filename review).  ; however, it is no longer used during the image capture/image QC steps. Currently, this partition contains some files that are waiting for a QC review before they can be moved to the file name review folder, as well as files that are ready for a file name review. Once filenames are reviewed, Digital Stewardship faculty will move them to the DP partition.

  • Note: Most access is READ WRITE access (users may edit, delete, move, view, and download).  

  • Who typically needs access? Student employees Digitization staff who perform digitization and/or quality control, Digital Initiatives Faculty/Staff. Stewardship faculty who perform filename reviews.
