The DP also includes files that are waiting for retroactive file renaming.

SCA-Working-Files Partition

This partition was once used by SCA but, after the introduction of Box, it sat unused for many years. The folder “SCA’s Mess” contains files that SCA faculty/staff stored here before Box. The folder “Digital Processing Work Area” serves as a space for curators to process digital acquisitions.

  • Note: When you are ready to process an acquisition of digital files, follow the steps in “Digital Transfers: Full Procedures

  • Who typically needs access: Curators and anyone performing digital processing work in SCA

StudentTemp Partition

This partition was where active digitization work was stored while it was moving through the digitization workflow (image capture, quality control, filename review); however, it is no longer used during the image capture/image QC steps. Currently, this partition contains some files that are waiting for a QC review before they can be moved to the file name review folder, as well as files that are ready for a file name review. Once filenames are reviewed, Digital Stewardship faculty will move them to the DP partition.

  • Note: Most access is READ WRITE access (users may edit, delete, move, view, and download).

  • Who typically needs access? Digitization staff who perform quality control, Digital Stewardship faculty who perform filename reviews.
