There are various ways to utilize the equipment in the conference room. Depending on your need, choose one of the following methods available. (Actual equipment and steps may vary slightly depending on the room, but they will follow the general outline.)

(lightbulb) Zoom Using Logitech Camera and Sound

Equipment Used:

Availability:

  • Computer

  • TV

  • Camera

  • 115C Conference Room

  • 236D Conference Room

  • 202J Conference Room

  • 208 Seminar Room

Instructions:

  1. Turn on the computer (behind TV or cupboard under TV) and TV (remote)

  2. Using the TV remote, press the Input button

  3. Select HDMI 1 or PC

  4. Log in to the PC using the wireless keyboard and mouse

    1. If the keyboard and mouse are not responding, check to ensure they are turned on.

    2. Contact LIT if you don’t know the Windows login password.

  5. Open the Zoom application

  6. Sign in to your Zoom account and join your meeting using the SSO option

    1. Select No, do not trust browser so that it does not keep your login information

    2. Select No if asked if you would like to stay signed in

  7. Sign out of your Zoom account when your meeting is over

    1. Select your picture in the upper right corner

    2. Select Sign Out

  8. Shut down the computer and turn off the TV

Note

If the sound for the participants is not working well, check to make sure the settings are correct.

(lightbulb) Connect via Crestron AirMedia

Instructions:

  1. Turn on the TV

  2. Using the TV remote, press the Input button

  3. Select HDMI 2 or AirMedia

  4. Open AirMedia application

AirMedia Previously Installed

AirMedia Not Installed

(You only need to do this once)

  1. Open the Crestron AirMedia app

  2. Type in the AirMedia address shown on the TV and press Enter (i.e. 10.7.69.120)

  1. Open a browser on your laptop

  2. Type in the Crestron AirMedia address shown on the TV (i.e. http://10.7.69.120)

  3. Select Start Presenting

  4. Select Mac or Windows to download the program

  5. Click on the downloaded program and install the application

  6. Open the Crestron AirMedia application

5. A code will display on the TV. Input that code into the AirMedia pin-code box on your laptop and press Enter.

Mac Instructions

Windows Instructions

  • Select Control Center in the menu bar and then select the Screen Mirroring icon

  • Select the AirMedia receiver in the options provided

  • Type the code displayed on the TV again in the input box on your laptop

  • When you are done using screen share, open Screen Mirroring again and deselect the AirMedia receiver

  • Turn off the TV using the remote

  • Windows will automatically enter screensharing mode

  • When you are done using screen share, select Disconnect in the Crestron AirMedia application

  • Turn off the TV using the remote

Instructions:

  1. Turn on the TV

  2. Using the TV remote, press the Input button

  3. Select HDMI 3 or Apple TV

  4. Select Control Center in the menu bar

  5. Select Screen Mirroring

  6. Select the Apple TV (i.e. les)

  7. It may ask for a code that will be displayed on the TV. Type that code into the box displayed on your computer. (Not all Apple TVs require a code to access it.)

  8. When you are done using screen share, open Screen Mirroring again and deselect the Apple TV

  9. Turn off the TV

Instructions:

  1. Turn on the TV

  2. Connect your laptop using the HDMI cable

    1. If the laptop does not automatically screen share, press the TV remote Input button and select Laptop

  3. When you are done using screen share, unplug the HDMI cable

  4. Turn off the TV

The camera remote can be black or white. Both function the same.

▪️Turn On Equipment

  1. Turn on the computer if needed (behind TV or cupboard under TV)

  2. Turn on TV using Sony TV remote

  3. Select input button on Sony remote

    1. Select HDMI 1 or PC

    2. Select HDMI 2 or AirMedia

    3. Select HDMI 3 or Apple TV

    4. Select HDMI 4 or PC (Sometimes, the laptop automatically connects when the HDMI is plugged in, so no selection is necessary.)

▪️Turn Off Computer

  1. Select Windows Start Menu

  2. Select Power icon

  3. Select Shut Down
