The location codes for item records are listed here:Location Codes All items going to the general stacks are assigned a location by the first letter in their call number.
For instance, in the following example:
HV 5840 .M42 C5826 2010 - H is the letter by which the call number would be assigned.
There are two exception to the first letter rule: TR and TT, which are not assigned along with all of the call number starting with âTâ. They are pulled out specifically for the Art Collection.
