Most items will be received via email from Gaby

Streaming General Workflow

Gaby will send email with invoice for each new video.
Gaby will send emails with renewal information for renewed videos (will need Sierra bib edits in 540 field)
She will also send emails for videos which we are not renewing (will need suppressing)
Gaby’s Trello Board is also useful (ask for invite)

Criterion does not inform us of expiration dates, so Gaby will generally assume a year (or 3 years) from the day of purchase

Here's the direct way of getting MARC records from Kanopy
After logging in, click on Licenses on the top menu.
Click on the header for the Video Title column to sort titles alphabetically.
Look for your new titles and click on the little circled MR at the end of the title (hovertext: "Download the 1 MARC record for this title.")

This page also gives you the start date and the end date for the license and this end date is what you put in the 540.

if cataloging before license date, use Search in Content Manager, with no filter to find the title
If there is only one new title; go ahead an export the record to Sierra and do the record edits in Create lists review file or in Cataloging
Exporting a batch of records for New titles On the left menu bar, go to Content Manager On the Content Manager page, go to Filter, click Recently Added Go to Actions: Export Selected Select all the titles with the same Expiration date from the list From dropdown select: Export MARC Records Note: if there are titles in the Recently Added screen that haven’t been mentioned in an email, ask Gaby if you should run them thru the batch process as well, AND if they have the same expiration date

Open the file in MarcEdit and do a Edit-->Find All on =245 to check the titles I like to add “swank” to the downloaded file name marc_record_export-20231213 swank-marc_record_export-20231213 Note the number of records for QC
