1. Date the notepad
2. Write down the borrower codes
3. Our book – write down the transaction number
4. Another libraries book – write down the ILL/Rapid number
5. Package the books
  1. 2-day goes in the white FedEx boxes
  2. Ground goes in the brown boxes
  3. Use padding to keep book secure
6. Cross out old packaging information
7. Write the borrower code on the box
8. Weigh box and record weight on notepad
  1. Round up to whole number
9. Turn on packaging computer
10. Check that there are enough labels in the printer
  1. Labels go facedown with the sticky side pointed away from the printer
11. Open Chrome
12. Select FedEx from the bookmark bar
13. Log-in with username and password
14. Click shipping
  1. Create a shipment
15. Select contact name
  1. Pick correct school
16. Type transactions number/ILL/Rapid in the Reference box
17. Enter weight
18. Ground
  1. Leave information alone for service and package type
19. 2-day
  1. Change Service type to FedEx 2-day
  2. Change Package type to FedEx box
20. Click ship
21. Click print
22. Click print in pop-up box
23. Click create new
  1. Repeat for all addresses
24. Click logout and shut down computer
25. Attach labels to correct box
26. Put on FedEx counter in mail room
  1. Keep Ground and 2-day in separate piles
Library Mail
1. Take shipping label out of book
2. Use brown boxes to package
  1. Use padding to keep book secure
3. Cross out old packaging information
4. Tape label to box
5. Stamp with Library Mail
6. Boxes go in bag in the mail room
Foreign Libraries
1. Take shipping label out of book
2. Use brown boxes to package
  1. Use padding to keep book secure
3. Cross out old packaging information
4. Tape label to box
5. Weigh box
  1. Weight needs to be in pounds and ounces
    1. Write weight on box
6. Place on table behind staff
7. Take over to Post Office in the Student Center after staff has attached shipping label
