1. Open exported .txt file in Microsoft Excel (optional: save the file as a new Excel workbook)

2. Open Preservica metadata spreadsheet template (USmetadataTemplate.xlsx)

3. Use the Qualified Dublin Core mapping document CONTENTdm to Preservica Metadata Mapping to copy over content from the exported metadata spreadsheet into the new template

   1. Examples:

      1. Title → title

      2. Call number → not mapping (means this does not need to be transferred to new template spreadsheet)

      3. Subject (LCSH) or Subject (Keyword) → maps to subject
