  • 852 field: for newer Holdings Records that are lacking the a, b, & c, we will add our OCLC library code and sub-location in subfield a and b, in front of the call number (using UUSA in b for OCLC compatibility):

    • 866 (we also can update to the NISO holdings standard of 853/863 if time permits)

  • Make sure 853/863 show the most current holdings (edit to match Sierra’s holdings)

  • If holdings are in field 866, can update to 853/863, if time (do edit to match Sierra’s)

  • Add 583 field formatted according to WEST documentation:

    • Click green circled + symbol under any variable field

    • Tag: 583

    • 1st indicator = 1 (public note)

    • 2nd indicator = blank

    • Committed to retain $c 20221122 $d 20351231 $f WEST $f WEST Bronze $u https://www.cdlib.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/WESTProgramStatement.pdf

    • then Save.

  • Summary field at top of record should show: Local holdings available (but can we even edit this in WorldShare?)

  • Click Record;

  • Shared Print Commitment;

  • Add

Then Save the LHR.

Okay for some reason, it thinks it’s adding an identical call number, just click Save again, and then… on the error popup and then…Hurray

But, there had 'd better be a way to make the screen …. less hugely glaringly horrifically and loudly… WHITE? with teeny narrow grey borders oh so lovely for now I’m enlarging everything with Ctrl+ to make the letters and borders more legible against all that white but that can only help so much , still, slightly marginally better:
